Portable Closet Solutions For Your Home
My husband and I had always dreamed of owning an old home. When we found the home of our dreams it was obvious that clothing storage was going to be at a a premium. That's why we were so glad to have the option of using a portable closet to store excess clothing and to make up for a lack of closet space in the bedrooms.
A friend of mine told me about portable closets. They're easy to find at most home stores and other large retailers. They come in a wide range of sizes. They're a perfect way to store special occasion garments and seasonal clothing. They are even useful on an everyday basis.
These free standing portable wardrobe closets keep clothing dust free and most come made of a moth repellent vinyl. Some of these are clear vinyl, some colored. Some come with a see through vinyl window making it easier to access clothing. Some come with coordinating closet shelving storage systems made of heavy duty wire. This wire closet shelving allows you to hang not only clothing, but to also store hat and shoe boxes. These portable wardrobes also come on easy to roll casters making them easy to move from room to room.
When we were choosing which of these closet designs was going to work for us we first decided to go through our clothing and break them down into two seasons. We decided to put a large free standing wardrobe in our basement and put two smaller ones upstairs in the bedrooms. We chose a 60 in. portable storage closet for downstairs. For upstairs we decided to get two portable closets with shoe storage. This way we could also store extra shoes.
We decided to also do an online search to find the custom portable closet design that we wanted. We found a wide array of sellers online such as The Storage Store, National Furnishing, Target and Lowe's, The brands sold are Neu Home and Whitmor.
Using a combination of portable closets and a custom wire closet shelving system we were able to make the most of three very small bedroom closets in our home.
